Great question — the terms nutritionist and registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing.
A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is a food and nutrition expert who has completed:
A master’s degree in nutrition
A supervised practice program (1200 supervised hours)
A national registration exam
Ongoing continuing education to stay up to date
“Nutritionist” on the other hand, isn’t a regulated title in many states — meaning anyone can call themselves one, even without formal education or training.
As an RDN, I’m trained to translate the ever changing science of nutrition into practical advice — whether you’re managing a medical condition, healing your relationship with food, feeding your family, or all of the above.
In short: all dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are dietitians. Working with an RDN ensures you're getting guidance from someone with trusted, evidence-based training.

Weight loss will never, ever, ever be something that can be promised. The human body is a complex machine and there are several factors that influence a persons body size and capacity to hold body fat. These factors include many things that are out of my realm of magic as a dietitian such as physical activity, lifestyle (desk job), sleep , stress, previous dieting history (yo-yo dieting), age, muscle mass, metabolism, genetics, health conditions (such as PCOS, thyroid problems, or hormone imbalance) and more. WEIGHT LOSS IS SO MUCH MORE THAN CALORIES IN VS CALORIES OUT!
But we can help you lose the voice in your head that is constantly obsessing over food and your body.
